Religion:
In this place the majority of people are devout Catholics, proof of this are the festivals in honor of the Virgin of Guadalupe and the beautiful Nuesta Señora de Guadalupe church, wich was built in 1918.
Clothing:
The city of Puerto Vallarta is located in the state of Jalisco, in this state the typical clothing for men is the Charro suit, this suit is made up of a hat, jacket, vest, long sleeve shirt, tie, girdle, pants, belt and boots.
As for female clothing, the typical women's costume is called Adelita, it can have a wide variety of colors. It can be made of a single piece or a shirt and skirt, topknot, hat and boots.
These same garments are those used in typical dances such as the Jarabe Tapatío and equestrian competitions.
